Blue chips push down TASI at Wednesday’s close
The utilities sector topped the decliners falling 4.86%

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Wednesday’s trading session in red territory, pushed by the fall of blue chips.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went down by 0.94 %, or 80.82 points, ending the session at 8,508.93 points.

TASI’s turnover decreased to SAR 2.57 billion on Wednesday, from SAR 2.9 billion on Tuesday, while trading volume levelled down to 106.7 million shares, compared to 117.84 million shares in the previous session.

The utilities sector topped the decliners falling 4.86%, followed by the banking and materials sectors with 1.04% and 0.8%, respectively.

On the other hand, the retailing sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.69%.

Meanwhile, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, retreated by 0.32%, or 12.65 points, finishing the session at 3,987.55 points.
