Cairo – Mubasher: President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has issued a decree establishing the board of the Egyptian Space Agency (ESA).
Under the decree, the board will be chaired by the prime minister, Mostafa Madbouly, and the ministries of higher education and communications, according to Ahram Online.
El-Sisi appointed Mohamed Afifi El-Qosi as the ESA’s CEO, for a one-year term.
The ESA’s board will also include the deputy chairman of the council of state, representatives of the ministries of defence, interior, finance, and military production, in addition to delegates from the president’s office, the General Intelligence Service, and the Administrative Control Authority.
Member of the ESA’s board will hold their seats for two years.
