Boursa Kuwait ends Sunday in red on geopolitical, recession concerns
The oil and gas sector was the top decliner

Mubasher: The All-Share Market index of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session 1.52% lower at 5,909.06 points, dragged by the geopolitical tensions and economic recession concerns in the region. 

Likewise, the indices of the Main Market and the Premier Market fell by 0.93% and 1.72%, respectively.

The oil and gas sector was the top decliner with 4.05%, followed by the consumer goods sector which dropped by 2.64%.

Real Estate Trade Centers (Marakez) headed the fallers after sliding by 10.04%, while Specialities Group Holding topped the risers and gained 6.94%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover rose by 26.3% to KWD 28.69 million on Sunday from KWD 22.71 million in the previous session after the trading volume increased by 26.5% to 135.26 million shares from 106.92 million on Thursday.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 8.9 million, while Arzan Financial Group for Financing and Investment registered the highest trading volume after 19.62 million shares were exchanged.
