Kuwait executing KWD 2.6bn projects within 2019/20 budget
A number of Kuwait's projects had a completion rate exceeding 98%

Mubasher: The Kuwaiti government is following up on the execution of 22 strategic projects with a cost of KWD 2.66 billion, the assistant secretary-general for planning and development affairs of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, Nadia Al Hamlan, said as reported by Al Anba newspaper.

Al Hamlan noted that a number of these projects had a completion rate exceeding 98%.

In an interview with Al Anba newspaper, Al Hamlan asserted that the projects are being executed on schedule without any changes.

Al Hamlan revealed that the projects of Al Zour Refinery and Clean Fuels had the highest cost in the budget of 2019/2020, in addition to the projects of Kuwait International Airport’s expansion (Terminal 2), Al Mutlaa City, Sabah Al Salem Kuwait University City, and Al Dibdibah Solar Power Plant.

Within the next few days, the Secretary-General for Planning and Development affairs will invite governmental entities as well as the development partners from the private sector and the civil society to discuss the priority of including projects in the budget.
