TASI loses 151 pts at Thursday’s close
TASI fell by 1.85% by the end of Thursday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Thursday’s trading session, August’s last session, with negative performance, pressured by the fall of many sectors.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went down by 1.85%, or 151.4 points, ending the session at 8,019.77 points.

TASI’s turnover decreased to SAR 4.05 billion on Thursday, from SAR 4.64 billion on Wednesday, while trading volume levelled down to 146.93 million shares, compared to 164.57 million shares in the previous session.

On the other hand, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, jumped by 0.59 %, or 23.65 points, finishing the session at 4,040.47 points.

The energy sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 1.1%.

On the negative side, the media sector headed the market’s decliners falling 2.72%, followed by the banking and materials sectors with 2.58% and 1.53%, respectively.

As for the weekly performance, TASI plunged by 5%, for the fifth week in a row, losing 426 points.
