Mubasher: Gold fell at Thursday’s settlement, marking the lowest level since 22 August.

Comex December gold declined by $12.2, or 0.8%, to settle at $1,536.9 per ounce. 

By 06:40 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, rose by 0.29% to 98.50.
