Dubai - Mubasher: Arabtec Holding, a Dubai-based leading contractor for social and economic infrastructure, on Wednesday announced it has appointed Wail Farsakh as group chief operating officer (COO).
Wail has an experience of over 33 years in the UAE where he worked as a structural engineer, progressing to general manager of Dutco Balfour Beatty (DBB Contracting), according to a press release.
He holds a bachelor degree and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Bradford University.
Peter Pollard, group chief executive officer of Arabtec, commented: “I am delighted that Wail has joined us on the journey to re-establish Arabtec as a leading contracting company in the region. Wail’s track record demonstrates he is prepared to make the long-term commitment needed to build a sustainable business.”

His experience across most contracting sectors will be important to integrating the Group’s operating companies into a more seamless contracting business,” Pollard added.
It is worth noting that various civil, marine, roads, retail, residential, and hospitality projects have been delivered under the management of Wail.
