Riyadh – Mubasher: The number of licences issued for foreign investments in Saudi Arabia surged 103% quarter-on-quarter to 291 during the second quarter of 2019, according to data released on Wednesday by Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA). 

The construction sector saw the issuance of 61 licences in Q2-19, while licenses issued for businesses in the telecom and manufacturing sectors reached 51 and 45, respectively, during the same period.

British companies received 45 of the licences issued in Q2, while Indian and US companies received 29 and 23, respectively.
