Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with QinetiQ and Dar Massader (QDM) to develop Saudi Arabia’s capabilities in testing and evaluating defence products, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The MoU sets the framework for integrated testing and evaluation training services, which are focused on developing local talents.

“In the company’s constant pursuit to develop a strong local defence industries sector, we have found a promising partner that has aligned its strategy to the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030,” CEO of SAMI, Andreas Schwer, commented.

Collaboration between SAMI and QDM will allow for the transfer of technical capabilities to Saudi Arabia, SPA reported.

“We are excited to embark on this journey today with such a strong industrial partner and look forward to increasing our support to local industrial programmes,” CEO of QDM, Sophie Lane, said.

It is worth noting that QDM is a joint venture between Britain’s QinetiQ and Saudi Dar Massader.
