Mubasher: Total bank deposits of residents in Kuwait declined by 0.9% month-on-month to KWD 43.619 billion ($143.8 billion) in July 2019, according to the Central Bank of Kuwait’s (CBK) monthly bulletin.

Private sector’s bank deposits went down to KWD 34.03 billion in July, from KWD 34.58 billion in June, the CBK's data showed. 

On the other hand, government deposits at Kuwaiti banks grew to KWD 7.06 billion in July, compared to KWD 6.9 billion a month earlier.

Year-on-year, total deposits of residents in Kuwait rose by 1.5% to KWD 43.089 billion in the seventh month of 2019.
