Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Oil Processing Company (SOPC) has processed around 1.6 million tonnes oil during the fiscal year 2018/2019, up 36% from the year-ago period.

The growth in the company’s output has contributed to the domestic market needs of Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), fuel, and mazut, head of SOPC, Mohamed Elewaa, said on Saturday, according to a statement. 

The value of SOPC’s production grew to EGP 2.4 billion ($147.2 million) in FY18/19, the top official added.

Elewaa stated that his company is currently executing four investment projects aimed at boosting operating efficiency and applying the latest health and safety standards.
