Copetrole logs EGP 50bn revenue in FY18/19
Copetrole plans to enter new markets in the coming period

Cairo – Mubasher: Co-operation Petroleum Co. (Copetrole) generated revenues of about EGP 50 billion during fiscal year 2018/2019, Akhbar El-Yom reported, citing the company’s chairman Adel Ayad as saying.

The company’s total volume of sales reached 7.5 million tonnes, including 6.7 million tonnes of essential products such as gasoline, heavy fuel oil (mazut), and diesel, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum on Tuesday.

Copetrole’s sales of ship fuel skyrocketed to about 216,000 tonnes valued at EGP 1.7 billion in FY18/19 from 33,000 tonnes a year earlier.  

The company currently owns 1,156 service and fuelling stations, Ayad revealed.

The oil firm has exported some of its products to Libya, Sudan, and Eretria, with plans to enter new markets in the coming period, he noted.
