UAE – Mubasher: The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has finished a roadshow to Centre and key European hubs, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

During the roadshow, the UAE-based financial hub held various high-level meetings in the UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland.

“Our recent visit to Europe was a huge success and reinforced the great interest from financial institutions and corporates looking to grow their business in the fast-growing the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) markets,” CEO of DIFC, Arif Amiri, commented.

The roadshow has proven DIFC’s focus on financial innovation, through the FinTech events and development meetings took place in London, Paris, and Switzerland, the authority noted in a statement.

“We are committed to nurturing strategic international partnerships with like-minded institutions and develop opportunities for increased cross-border growth. The roadshow has reaffirmed the enormous potential of financial sector innovation to ignite global economies and deliver sustainable financial sector growth,” Amiri said.

In 2018, the value of DIFC’s wealth and asset management market amounted to $424 billion, making up 30% of the GCC’s combined GDP.
