Boursa Kuwait ends Sunday’s session in rise
Boursa Kuwait's turnover plunged by 40.1% to KWD 53.43 million

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session up, as the All-Share Market rose by 2.23 to close at 5676.51 points after earning 124 points, while the Main and Premier indices levelled up by 0.39% and 2.91%, respectively.

The bourse’s turnover plunged by 40.1% to KWD 53.43 million from KWD 89.15 million on Thursday, 19 September. The trading volume shrank by 30.6% to 181.16 million shares from 261.1 million.

A group of six sectors rose, led by the banks sector with 3.18%.

A group of four sectors fell, headed by the consumer goods sector with 1.77%, followed by the basic materials with 1.36%, the consumer services with 0.18%, and the insurance with 0.17%.

Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC) topped the risers with15.37%, while Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) led the losers with 9.9%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock at KWD 16.46 million worth of liquidity where 25.16 million shares were exchanged through 1,437 transactions, the stock gained 5.65% at KWD 673 fils.

The performance of the bourse’s indices was positive in Sunday’s session capital market analyst Nawaf Al Aun told Mubasher, noting that the All-Share Index became closer to its next target at 5,685 points, while the Premier Index has exceeded the level 6,175 points after closing at 6185,07 points, whereas the Main Market is still moving forward to the level at 4,700 points.
