Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) grew 266 points, or 3.4%, to reach 8,092.74 points during the first nine months of 2019.

Market capitalisation gained SAR 49 billion ($13.2 billion) from January to the end of September, recording SAR 1.908 trillion ($509 billion), compared to SAR 1.858 trillion ($496 billion) at the end of 2018.

Trading volume stood at 24.5 million shares and liquidity amounted to SAR 649.173 billion.

The utilities sector topped the market’s gainers in the nine-month period ended 30 September, surging 36.34%, followed by the telecom and consumer services sectors which jumped 25.33% and 22.2%, respectively.

On the other hand, the pharmaceuticals sector led losers after a decrease of 10.54%, as the consumer durables sector sank 5.91% and the real estate sector shrank by 3.2%.

Since the beginning of the year, the banking sector rose by 4.75%, while the materials sector lost 4.82%.
