Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) grew by 266 points, or 3.4%, to reach 8,092.74 points during the first nine months of 2019.
Market capitalisation went up to SAR 1.908 trillion ($509 billion) from January to September, compared to SAR 1.858 trillion ($496 billion) in the year-ago period.
Trading volume reached 24.5 million shares, while liquidity amounted to SAR 649.173 billion.
The utilities sector surged 36.34%, while the telecom and consumer staples sector added 25.33% and 22.2%, respectively.
At the other end of the spectrum, the pharma sector declined by 10.54%, the consumer durables sector went down 5.91%, and the real estate sector lost 3.2%.
During the January-September period, the banking sector shrank by 4.75% and the materials sector levelled down by 4.82%.
