Kuwaiti indices end Monday’s session in green
Bayan Investment topped the gainers with 17%

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait rose by the end of Monday’s trading session for the second time in a row.

The All-Share Index levelled up by 0.91% to close at the level of 5,720.59 points after gaining 51.4 points. The Main and Premier indices edged up by 0.42% and 1.08%, respectively.

The bourse’s liquidity surged by 151% to KWD 29.17 million from KWD 72.68 million on Sunday, 6 October. The trading volume hiked by 80% to 130.77 million shares from 72.68 million.

A group of seven sectors advanced, headed by the telecommunications with 1.97%, while a group of three sectors shed, led by the consumer services with 1.33%.

Bayan Investment topped the gainers with 17%, while KAMCO Investment Company led the losers with 10%.

Ahli United Bank – Bahrain (AUB Bahrain) led the trading activity with KWD 5.7 million worth of liquidity through the exchange of approximately 21 million shares, the stock went up 1.48%.

The Kuwaiti indices were remarkably active during Monday’s session, backing the bourse’s rise and also increasing the trading activity to its highest level in the last two weeks, capital market analyst Saad Al Roumi told Mubasher.

Trading on the Premier Market dominated the bourse as usual, where more than than 86% of the liquidity centred in the index, Al Roumi added.

The All-Share Index is currently facing the first resistance level of 5,757 points. The index will move to the next resistance level at 5,776 if it succeeds to break through the first one, Al Roumi expected.
