Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Co posted a 25% year-on-year profit retreat during fiscal year 2018/2019.

Net profits declined to EGP 1.83 billion during the twelve-month period ended 30 June, compared to EGP 2.44 billion in FY17/18, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the company’s revenues went down to EGP 2.92 billion in FY18/19 from EGP 3.01 billion in the prior fiscal year.

It is noteworthy that during the first two months of FY19/20, the EGX-listed firm logged a net profit of EGP 312.22 million, compared to EGP 329.67 million in the year-ago period.

In addition, the company generated EGP 440.42 million in revenues in July and August, down from EGP 446.37 million in the corresponding months a year earlier.
