Boursa Kuwait closes Wednesday down; liquidity drops 30%
The bourse’s turnover slumped by 30.4% to KWD 19.62 on Wednesday

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait fell by the end of Wednesday’s trading session, as the All-Share, Main, and Premier markets levelled down by 0.52%, 0.08%, and 0.68%, respectively.

The bourse’s turnover slumped by 30.4% to KWD 19.62 million from KWD 28.19 million a day earlier.

The trading volume decreased by 14.5% to 106.39 million shares from 124.36 million.

The consumer services sector led six decliners with 2.31%, followed by the banks with 0.74%.

meanwhile, the oil and gas sector headed four gainers with 2.32%.

Danah Al Safat Foodstuff topped the fallers with 31.4%, while Al Eid Food Company headed the risers with 9.92

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) registered the highest liquidity of KWD 2.89 million, the stock inched down 0.73%, whereas Ajwan Gulf Real Estate

led the trading activity with 15.57 million shares, the stock went up 6.92%

The bourse’s low performance on Wednesday is a result of the rises during the past three sessions, capital market analyst Moustafa Al Jarhi told Mubasher.

The index has support level of 5,662 points in the current time, followed by the levels of 5,644 points, 5,625 points, and 5,606 points, respectively, Al Jarhi expected, noting that the main resistance level of 5,700 points will remain the most important for the index.
