Boursa Kuwait closes Thursday in green
Boursa Kuwait's liquidity soared to KWD 29.18 million

Mubasher: The Kuwaiti indices rose by the end of Thursday’s trading session; as the Premier, Main, and All-Share markets levelled up by 0.31%, 0.23%, and 0.29%, respectively.

The bourse’s liquidity soared by 48.7% to KWD 29.18 million on Thursday, compared to KWD 19.62 million a day earlier.

The trading volume increased by 31.3% to 139.71 million shares from 106.39 million.       

A group of six sectors advanced, led by the telecommunications with 0.91% and the banks with 0.27%, whereas a group of four sectors fell, led by the consumer goods with 0.35%.

Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co topped the risers with 14.13%, while Kuwait Syrian Holding headed the fallers with 9.88%.

Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) logged the highest turnover of KWD 4.97 million, the stock edged up 0.72%, while Kuwait Real Estate was the most active stock with 27.71 million shares, the stock went up 2.46%.

The bourse has seen a positive performance on Thursday, thanks to the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) which announced the financial results for the nine-month period of 2019 earlier today, capital market analyst Ziad Fakih told Mubasher.

Meanwhile, the All-Share Index reached the important level of 6,700 points, the analyst added, noting that the next resistance and support for the index will be at the levels of 6,744 points and 6,683 points, respectively.
