Egyptian-Greek trade exchange rises to EUR 906m in H1
Egyptian exports to Greece surged by 60% to EUR 467.7 million

Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and Greece rose by 10% year-on-year during the first half of 2019, head of the Egyptian Commercial Service Office (ECS) Ahmed Antar told Mubahser.

Bilateral trade between the two countries amounted to EUR 906.1 million during the six-month period ended 30 June, compared to EUR 816.8 million in the prior-year period, Antar added.

Egyptian exports to the southeastern European country surged by 60% to EUR 467.7 million in H1-19 from EUR 290.7 million in H1-18, he revealed.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian non-oil exports to Greece registered EUR 156.6 million in the January-June period, rising by 40% year-on-year from EUR 111.6 million, the top official noted.

On the other hand, Egyptian imports from Greece declined by 16% to EUR 438.4 million in H1-19, compared to EUR 526.1 million in H1-18.
