Saudi Arabia to host Sustainable City Symposium in November
The two-day event will also focus on four of the capital’s most ambitious projects

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will host the Sustainable City Symposium during the period between 12 and 13 November in Riyadh.

The event will be organised by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), formally known as Riyadh Development Authority, according to RCRC’s statement.

The symposium will host over 40 international experts to find solutions to the difficult challenges facing all cities across the world today and discuss projects worth $23 billion that will transform Riyadh and its citizens.

The two-day event will also focus on four of the capital’s most ambitious projects, launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and stemming from an initiative from Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince.

The projects are King Salman Park, Sports Boulevard, Green Riyadh, and Riyadh Art, and they are considered transformative and will help to establish Riyadh as one of the most livable cities in the world.

They are also complement Saudi Vision 2030’s ‘Quality of Life’ Program and are aligned with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.

The symposium will handle topic including climate change, sustainable urban development, conservation of the natural environment, critical resource management, energy conservation, production and management, legal frameworks and initiatives to support positive change, and transformative social activation.
