Cairo – Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) aims to start a new cooperation programme with Egypt in the coming period, the IMF’s managing director Kristalina Georgieva said in a statement on Wednesday.
The proposed programme will help the North African nation continue its economic reforms and improve structural reforms, Georgieva added during her meeting with the Egyptian prime minister Mostafa Madbouly and other state officials.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian finance minister Mohamed Maait previously said that the country plans to conclude a non-financial agreement with the IMF by October.
