Savills launches new service for 1st time in Mideast business
CEO Middle East of Savills, Steve Morgan

Mubasher: Savills announced offering new building and project consultancy services, for the first time, across its Middle East operations.

The global agency’s new edge follows regional inbound expansions from several businesses, including Microsoft, Amazon, Uber, Facebook, Spotify, Snapchat, and Oracle.

Having 40 years of experience, Savills has offered consultancy, property management, and agency services to clients, with over 50% of the business done in property management and leasing of office and retail assets, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Thanks to the newly hired team, several services such as project management, cost management, programme management, and technical due diligence services will be immediately offered.

Savills’ head of building and project consultancy Middle East, Simon Denham, said: “There is a significant opportunity to complement the excellent tenant representation work that Savills has been doing for many years, with a bespoke service line that addresses the needs of a changing market.’’

CEO Middle East of Savills, Steve Morgan, stated: “Building and Project and Consultancy teams provide support to developers and other stakeholders when planning, building, operating and managing properties. We have been considering this service line for a while and with so many large scale Commercial assets now under our management across the region, the time is right for expansion into this sector.”

Morgan continued: “This is another chapter in our continued growth across the MENA region. Our business has expanded by 30% in the last twelve months, which reflects our confidence and commitment to invest.’’

Successfully delivering projects for Facebook and Mastercard, Savills plans further expansion of its commercial agency business across the region, while becoming the leading office leasing agent in Saudi Arabia and is gathering significant momentum in Egypt.
