Mubasher: US natural gas storage climbed by 104 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in the week ended 11 October, to a total of 3,519 Bcf, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said.

Stockpiles were 494 Bcf above past year’s figure, and they were 14 Bcf higher than the five-year average of 3,505 Bcf.

Following the release of the data, Nymex natural gas futures surged by 1.82% to $2.26 per million British thermal units (MMBtu).
