Riyadh – Mubasher: Sultan Al Mansoori, UAE’s Minister of Economy, revealed that coordination is under way between Saudi Arabia and the UAE to issue a joint visa very soon, Saudi Gazette reported.

The announcement took place during the Future Investment Initiative 2019 (FII) that started in Riyadh on Tuesday, 29 October.

The new visa will enable visitors to the UAE to visit Saudi Arabia and vice versa.

Al Mansoori said that the new visa is expected to come into force during 2020.

“This initiative aims at taking advantage of the enormous potential and great measures taken by Saudi Arabia to facilitate the entry of tourists to the Kingdom,” the minister said.

He added that the initiative would contribute to increasing the volume of flight services between the two countries, affirming that the number of flights at present is not sufficient and there is a need to double it.
