Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority released automobiles and car parts worth EGP 6.268 billion last month, head of authority Elsayed Kamal Negm said, as per a statement by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Negm revealed in a report presented to the Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, that collected taxes and duties on imported cars reached EGP 1.67 billion in October.

It is worth noting that October 2019 marked the 10th month since exempting imported European cars from custom tariffs came into effect.
