Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note, as the All-Share Index increased by 0.24%, while the main and premier indices rose 0.12% and 0.15%, respectively.

Liquidity shrank by 41% to KWD 12.39 million, compared with KWD 20.98 million on Tuesday.

Similarly, traded volumes declines by 41.1% to 97.36 million shares, down from 165.34 million shares yesterday, and was mostly dominated by the general index stocks.

As for the sectors’ performance, nine sectoral indices rose by the end of today’s session, led by oil and gas with a 2.79% increase, while the industrial sector index was the sole decliner, slipping 0.2%.

Aqar Real Estate Investments was the session’s top gainer, closing on a 15.45% increase, while Specialities Group Holding was the biggest losing stock, dropping 5.12%.

The main market dominated about 38% of today’s trade, which is a remarkable share in comparison with the average 20-25% usually seen by the index, technical analyst Yassin Al-Zeeny told Mubasher, explaining that the main market index has shown a strong performance in recent sessions.
