Faisal Islamic Bank’s business volume grows 16% YoY in October
Assets hit EGP 99.66bn during October

Cairo – Mubasher: The financial indicators of Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt showed a 15.9% year-on-year increase in its business volume, recording EGP 102.39 billion in October from EGP 88.33 billion in the year-ago period.

Assets held by the Islamic lender amounted to EGP 99.66 billion during October, compared to EGP 86.8 billion in the same month a year earlier, according to a bourse statement released on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian bank’s current accounts and saving schemes reached EGP 84.25 billion last month, while investment balances stood at EGP 91.67 billion.

The number of current accounts and saving schemes managed by the bank recorded 1.71 million.

It is noteworthy that during the first nine months of 2019, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt logged an unaudited standalone net profit of EGP 2.05 billion, compared to EGP 1.96 billion in the prior-year period.
