EGX30 ends Monday below 14,400 pts; market cap loses EGP 6.8bn
Trading volume amounted to EGP 110.378 million shares

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a negative note.

The main EGX30 index fell by 1.22%, ending the session at 14,378 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dropped by 0.94% to 536.46 points, while the broader EGX100 index went down 0.95% to 1,424 points.

Similarly, the equal-weighted EGX50 index retreated 1.15% to close at 2,069 points.

Market capitalisation lost about EGP 6.769 billion to EGP 719.951 billion.

Trading volume amounted to EGP 110.378 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 539.661 million through about 16,630 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 462.86 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 352.64 million and EGP 110.22 million, respectively.
