Egypt’s daily oil output hits 5-month high in September

Cairo – Mubasher: Oil production in Egypt increased by about 17,000 barrels per day (bpd), or 2.7%, month-on-month in September, registering the highest daily oil output since April 2019.

The North African nation’s oil output stood at nearly 629,200 bpd in the ninth month of 2019, compared to around 612,650 in August, according to data released by the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI).

Total oil production reached 18.87 million barrels during September, according to statistics conducted by Mubasher.

Egypt produces about 55-60% of its total required petroleum products and the remaining amount is imported from international agents and suppliers.

Over the January-September period, the most populous Arab nation’s oil production grew by 2.2% from nearly 643,570 bpd in December 2018.
