Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s food exports grew 9.3% year-on-year to $2.6 billion during the first nine months of 2019, data released by Food Export Council showed, according to the Middle East News Agency.

The North African country’s food exports surged 19% to $300 million in September 2019, compared to $251 million in the same month last year.

Exports to Arab countries went up by 12% YoY to $1.4 billion from January to September 2019, while exports to the European Union, non-Arab African countries, and the US recorded $350 million, $307 million, and $138 million, respectively, in the January-September period.
