Aramco’s weight on TASI to exceed 9%
Aramco’s IPO began Sunday on 1.5% of the company’s shares

Riyadh – Mubasher: The stock of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) is likely to have a weight of 9.1% to 9.7% in the main index of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), based on the SAR 30-32 share price range.

Meanwhile, Al Rajhi Bank is expected to maintain its position and have the highest weight in the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI), at around 14.6%, according to a note by Al Rajhi Capital Research.

As for passive/active inflows from MSCI and FTSE EM, they could reach around $2.4 billion and $1.4 billion, respectively, based on 0.6% to 0.5% weights in the respective emerging markets Indices, the research firm explained.

This is around 15% of the Aramco initial public offering (IPO) size. Outflows from other KSA stocks due to this inclusion is marginal, it added.

Subscription of individuals and entities in Aramco’s IPO began Sunday on 1.5% of the company’s shares.
