UAE – Mubasher: Dubai Airshow 2019, one of the largest and most successful air shows in the world, has seen on-site orders totalling $54.5 billion.

Held on 17-18 November, the 2019 edition of the global aerospace event attracted over 1,288 exhibitors and included the display of 161 aircraft.

The event featured a packed schedule of conferences and keynotes, with the number of trade attendees reaching 84,043.

"We always want to outperform our last show, and 2019 has gone above and beyond expectation, with so much great business being done alongside an engaging and innovative programme of conferences, exhibits and flying displays,” managing director of the show organisers Tarsus F&E Middle East, Michele van Akelijen, said.

Exhibitors showcased latest technologies and inventions, marking the huge development in the industry, including Dubai Police’s new flying bike for hard to reach emergencies and the first commercial space flight suits from Virgin Galactic.

"We have already seen exhibitors rebooking for the next edition, and we look forward greatly to seeing what the next two years of aerospace development will bring to our 2021 edition,” Akelijen commented

The next edition of Dubai Airshow will be held from 14 to 18 November 2021.
