Saudi tourists top Dubai's Arab visitors in 9M
Arab vacationers accounted for 28.3% of Dubai's total visitors

Dubai – Mubasher: The number of Arab tourists travelling to Dubai grew by 5.5% year-on-year (YoY) to around 3.42 million over the first nine months of 2019, as shown by official data.

Arab vacationers accounted for 28.3% of the emirate’s total visitors, which recorded 12.08 million during the period from January to September 2019, according to a Mubasher survey.

Saudis topped the list with 1.25 million visitors during the period, up from 1.22 million registered a year earlier.

Oman followed with 778,000 tourists during the nine-month period, 28.4% up from 606,000 in the corresponding period last year.

Similarly, the number of Egyptian travellers grew to 231,000, up from 212,000.

Meanwhile, the number of Kuwaiti and Jordanian visitors decreased to 261,000 and 122,000, respectively, down from 276,000 and 124,000, respectively.

It is worthy to mention that Dubai’s international overnight visitors grew 4.3% YoY to 12.08 million during the first three months of 2019.
