Dubai – Mubasher: Nasdaq Dubai has welcomed the listing of EUR 1 billion green sukuk by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), marking the bank’s first green listing issued under its Sustainable Finance Framework.
IsDB’s sukuk follows two other listings of $1.5 billion each in April and October in 2019 on the region’s international exchange, according to a press release on Wednesday.
IsDB finances development across its 57 member countries, while also currently having eleven sukuk listings on Nasdaq Dubai valued at a total of $13.65 billion.
The latest sukuk, which is IsDB’s second listing on Nasdaq Dubai, signals the bourse’s role as a multi-currency listing hub, with Dubai being one of the largest global centres for Sukuk listings by value, currently totalling $65.4 billion.
