ADX closes Wednesday in green zone on Blue chips

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The general index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) added 17.21 points, or 0.34%, to close at 5,047.97 points on Wednesday, pushed up by blue chips.

Market capitalisation grew to AED 516.1 billion on Wednesday, compared to AED 513.93 billion in the previous session.

The real estate sector gained 1.25% and the telecom sector rose by 1.1%, while the energy sector shed 0.15% and the banking sector inched down 0.07%.

Abu Dhabi Takaful topped the ADX’s gainers, surging 11.67%, while RAK Insurance led the market’s losers, dropping 6.98%.

Aldar Properties went up by 1.38% and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank gained 0.2%. on the other hand, Dana Gas declined by 0.11%.

The ADX’s trading volume stood at 104.34 million shares, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 303.07 million.
