Cairo – Mubasher: Total Egyptian exports grew 2.3% year-on-year during the first ten months of the fiscal year 2019, according to a report released on Thursday by the trade ministry.
Egypt’s exports went up to $21.32 billion from January to October 2019, compared to $20.83 billion in the year-ago period.
Moreover, the North African country’s imports decreased to $57.7 billion in the January-October period, from $59.36 billion the year before.
The trade ministry ascribed the growth in exports to the decline in the trade deficit, which decreased by 6%, or %2.14 billion, in the ten-month period ended 31 October.
