Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is mulling the issuance of three bond offerings during fiscal year 2019/2020, Reuters reported on Monday, citing the finance minister Mohamed Maait as saying.
The potential issuance include green, variable-yield, and Islamic bonds, Maait added during a press conference.
From September to December, the Egyptian government bond market witnessed a net outflow of $12 billion amid the emerging market crisis.
However, an inflow of $8-9 billion was followed within 2-3 months, he noted.
It is noteworthy that on Monday, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) will issue $1 billion treasury bills (T-bills).
