Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s core annual inflation rate declined to 2.1% in November, compared to 2.7% in October, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
The monthly core inflation recorded a negative rate of 0.1% in the eleventh month of 2019, compared to a positive rate of 1.1% in October and 0.5% in November 2018, the CBE added.
It is noteworthy that the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced that Egypt’s annual inflation stood at 2.7% in November, compared to 2.4% in October and 15.6% in November 2018.
The CBE has set a target inflation of 9% plus or minus 3% by the end of the fourth quarter of 2020.
