Cairo – Mubasher: About 60 embassies have submitted requests to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain land plots in the diplomatic district in the New Administrative Capital, the official spokesman for the project Khaled El-Husseiny said.
Areas of and plots allocated for embassies range from one feddan to 24 feddans at a price of $400 per metre, El-Husseiny added on the sideline of a press conference on Tuesday.
China and Saudi Arabia have requested to purchase 24- and 16-feddan land plots, respectively, he revealed.
By the second half of 2020, the government will move to the governmental district in the new capital, he noted.
