Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s National Organization for Military Production (NOMP), IMUT and Spain’s ESCRIBANO signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the fields of military manufacturing and defence system development.

Under the agreement, IMUT and military production companies will benefit from ESCRIBANO’s expertise in military manufacturing, maintenance and training, according to an official statement.

A technical delegation from ESCRIBANO will visit a number of Egyptian military production firms.

The Spanish firm will also benefit from the Egyptian companies’ expertise in the field of weapon building and military equipment and surveillance system developing.

The signing was attended by Egypt’s military production minister Mohamed El Assar said.

ESCRIBANO’s chairman Javier Escribano said that the expertise of Egypt’s military production firms in defence industry will enable the transferring and domestication of the manufacturing technology.

This will allow Egypt to be a hub for exporting manufacturing technology to African and Arab countries, Escribano said.
