The event attracted over 100 leading figures

UAE – Mubasher: The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has hosted a networking event for Chinese businesses in Dubai, in partnership with the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX).

The event is aimed at exploring opportunities for further strategic partnership and growth, according to an official statement released on Saturday.

“We are committed to facilitating the success of all our member companies. As a result, we have seen a significant increase in Chinese companies registering with DMCC, and greater numbers of Chinese investors looking to do business in Dubai,” DMCC’s CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem said.

Moreover, the event attracted over 100 leading figures from the Dubai-based Chinese business community.

“Chinese businesses have seen great success in the UAE, and we expect more long-term growth opportunities for those looking to take advantage of the emirate’s global connections, robust infrastructure and innovation,” Chinese economic and commercial counsellor, Jin Lei, commented.

DMCC houses around 500 Chinese companies, which account for 10% of all Chinese businesses registered in the UAE.

China is one of the UAE’s largest trading partners, as the value of trade between the two countries is expected to amount to AED 257 billion by 2020.
