Riyadh – Mubasher: Unemployment in Saudi Arabia, among women and men over the age of 15, declined to 12% by the end of the third quarter (Q3) of 2019, down from 12.3% in Q3-18, data by the General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) shows.

The GaStat quarterly report on the job market showed unemployment across the country, counting both Saudi nationals and expats, unemployment decreased to 5.5% in Q3-19, down from 5.6% in the previous quarter.

It is worth noting that Q2-19 also witnessed a similar decrease in unemployment rates, with unemployment among Saudis decreasing to 5.6%, from 5.7% in Q1-19, and across the Kingdom from 12.5% to 12.3%.
