Tadawul continues to increase on Wednesday for 4th session in row
Saudi Aramco was the most active stock

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) recorded its fourth consecutive increase by the end of Wednesday’s trading session despite the losses of Saudi Aramco’s shares.

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by 0.68%, or 56 points, closing at 8,253.43 points and registering its highest level since August.

On Wednesday, Saudi Aramco was added to Tadawul’s TASI as well as the energy sector index.

The Saudi market’s rise was ascribed to the increase in all sectors, except for the energy and food segments which were down with 2.15% -amid the pressure of Aramco, and 0.64%, respectively.

The banks sector gained 1.26%, while the materials and telecom added 1.18% and 0.36%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Aramco’s stock witnessed a downward performance with 2.78%, topping the losing stocks and closing at SAR 36.70.

A total of 173 stocks closed in green, led by Anaam International Holding Group with 9.95% to close at SAR 12.16.

The Saudi market’s trading value declined to SAR 6.56 billion by the end of Wednesday, compared to SAR 8.4 billion in the previous session. The trading volume reached 243.3 million traded shares, down from 281.27 million shares in Tuesday’s session.

Saudi Aramco was the most active stock, with a value of SAR 2.56 billion through the trading of 69.27 million shares.

In addition, the index of the Parallel Market (NOMU) inched down by 0.9% or 60.42 points to close at 6,624.86 points.
