Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s public debt instruments have remained attractive to portfolio investors, according to Bloomberg.

The international news agency has placed Egypt among the top ten African markets to watch in 2020.

Carry traders have been lured to the yields which rose to about 14% on EGP-denominated bonds.

The EGP has strengthened by 12% to record its best performance in 25 years and is projected to advance by an additional 4.5% to EGP 15.35 against the US dollar in 2020. 

The list also included Angola, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia.
