Saudi Minister of Energy to deliver keynote speech at IPTC 2020
The event is under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

Dubai – Mubasher: The Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, is set to attend the 12th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) and deliver a special keynote address.

The event, which recently received the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, is set to take place from 13 to 15 January 2020 at the Dhahran EXPO.

Saudi Aramco is the exclusive host of the event that will bring over 250 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and technology, enabling delegates and visitors to discuss potential partnerships and projects.

Delegates will have the opportunity to network, discover, share and exchange their experiences and learnings with over 8,000 industry professionals from around the globe.

“Attended by industry leaders and sponsored by four premier petroleum organisations and societies, IPTC 2020 brings together global experts to share their knowledge, innovation and latest technologies in what has become the flagship multi-disciplinary event in the Eastern Hemisphere,” said Mohammed Al Qahtani, Senior Vice President, Upstream, Saudi Aramco, and IPTC 2020 Executive Committee Chair.

“At the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia, as well as the home of the world’s largest oil and gas company and some of the world’s largest oil reserves, the Kingdom is truly an exceptional location for this distinguished event,” he added.

The event’s list of speakers is featuring a number of influential figures, including Amin Nasser, President and CEO at Saudi Aramco; Saif Al Kindy, Executive Director for Upstream Directorate at ADNOC; Darren Woods, Chairman and CEO at Exxon Mobil Corporation; Jeff Miller, Chairman, President and CEO at Halliburton; Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO at Total; Lorenzo Simonelli, Chairman and CEO at Baker Hughes.

Alongside a long list of the world’s largest oil companies sponsoring this year’s edition, IPTC, which was founded in 2005, is sponsored by four industry organisations and societies, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG); the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE); the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG); and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
