Mubasher: The Boursa Kuwait’s indices went down in the first week of 2020, as geopolitical tensions mounted.

The Premier Market index lost 46.48 points, or 0.67%, to reach 6,929.48 points in a week, while the All-Share Market index declined by 52.23 points, or 0.83%, to 6,230.23 points.

Meanwhile, the Main Market index fell 65.33 points, or 1.33%, to 4,845.63 points.

Seven sectors levelled down, led by the telecom sectors which lost 2.66%, while three sectors grew, topped by the oil and gas sector which added 2.41%.

Trading volume surged to 947.87 million shares, while turnover jumped to KWD 289.13 million.
