Boeing to pay $60m pension benefits, stock to fired CEO

Mubasher: American aerospace company Boeing has announced that ousted CEO Dennis Muilenburg will receive over $60 million in pension benefits and stock, according to CNBC.

Muilenburg was fired on the heels of the 737 Max aircraft crisis that followed two fatal crashes that killed 346 people.

The plane model has been grounded since March 2019, which cost Boeing more than $1 billion.

It is worth highlighting that board member Dave Calhoun is set to be named CEO on Monday.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a $5.4-million fine against Boeing for faulty wing parts on 737 Max aircraft.
