Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a positive note, with the benchmark EGX30 index rising by 0.53% to 13,802 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.38% to EGP 84.01, after generating EGP 30.4 million in liquidity.

Meanwhile, the EGX70 index increased by 0.73% to 526.22 points, while the EGX100 index advanced by 0.61% to 1,371 points.

The market’s trading volume amounted to 135.69 million shares, exchanged at a turnover of EGP 425.5 million through nearly 17,900 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 609.5 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 603.9 million and EGP 5.6 million, respectively.

Market cap gained EGP 3.6 billion to close at EGP 699.6 billion
